What do you call SOLICITED spam?

Bacn!

“Email you receive that isn’t spam… And isn’t personal mail. It’s the middle lass of email. It’s notifications of a new post to your Facebook wall or a new follower on Twitter. It’s the Google alert for your name and the newsletter from your favorite company. Email you receive that isn’t spam… And isn’t personal mail. It’s the middle class of email. It’s notifications of a new post to your Facebook wall or a new follower on Twitter. It’s the Google alert for your name and the newsletter from your favorite company.”

Add listserv posts/digests to the mix.

I declared partial email bankruptcy last week, and bacn is mostly what got the axe (knife?).

Great find on the bacn scoop. As for the declaring partial email bankruptcy with regard to anything that isn’t sent by a real person…that’s a pretty attractive idea. I wonder how much time I spend on my own bacn. I think I might measure it for a week just to see.

What are you thoughts about VAR leaking email addresses on their website of member Realtors?

When did you start working for VAR? I hope you can lead them toward a more high tech focus.
