I admire your boldness is exploring new ideas for our business. However, after a brief look at Twitter, I cannot imagine any business association that would seriously consider using it. It just looks silly.
Unlike Twitter, I have recently delved into http://www.LinkedIn.com (based on your posting), and found enormous potential. Individual users have significant control over their network, and setting up a group for an association seems logical for mine.
